About Eric Peyton, golf pro

Eric grew up playing golf in central Iowa. He went to Urbandale High School, where he competed on the golf team all four years. After graduation, he enrolled in the Professional Golf Management degree program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. While there, he turned professional and started competing and teaching the game.

After graduation, he started working as an Assistant Golf Professional at clubs and courses all around the Midwest (Wakonda, Glen Oaks, Omaha Country Club, and Eagle Vail Golf Club). Most recently, he was a club pro at Prairie Dunes Country Club, a top 30 course in the United States.

After leaving Prairie Dunes, he moved back to Des Moines and opened his own golf business, Eric Peyton Golf. He now teaches indoor golf lessons at Broheim's Indoor Golf & Pub (Waukee).

He also works as a freelance golf writer, where he contributes content to a variety of golf publications, including Golficity. His passion is for helping more people love the game of golf.

Finally, he launched a golf podcast called “the Looper podcast” where he interviews people with interesting golf stories, perspectives, and experiences.
